FD Business Solutions provides senior finance leadership to businesses that need it but don't yet need, or want, a full-time hire. I work as an extension of your team — hands-on where it matters, strategic where it counts, and always focused on commercial outcomes rather than just producing reports.

Over 20 years operating at Finance Director and CFO level, I've led finance functions through periods of fast growth, restructured underperforming businesses, and built the reporting and governance needed to support external investment. I've been closely involved in several successful business sales — including all the preparatory work to maximise sale price — as well as acquisitions, from initial due diligence through to completion.

I've worked mostly within SME and scale-up businesses, with turnover up to £150m, leading multi-disciplinary teams spanning finance, IT, legal, and HR. Throughout, I've applied best-practice methodology to risk management, reporting, and systems implementation — including, increasingly, the practical use of AI and automation to make finance functions faster and more accurate.

I'm based in Gloucestershire and work with clients across the UK.
